Our Winston-Salem, N.C., campus houses an academic community of almost 9,000 students, with more studying at Wake Forest locations in Charlotte, Washington, D.C., and around the world. Our undergraduate liberal arts curriculum inspires a holistic approach to preparing graduate and professional school students. Pelley to deliver Wake Forest’s commencement address

Award-winning journalist Scott Pelley will deliver Wake Forest’s commencement address on Monday, May 19. Pelley has been reporting for the CBS News program “60 Minutes” for more than 20 years and was the anchor and managing editor of the CBS Evening News from 2011 to 2017. Also joining Wake Forest for commencement weekend will be baccalaureate speaker Reverend Emma Jordan-Simpson, president of Auburn Theological Seminary. Baccalaureate will take place on Sunday, May 18.

‘Hoop Dreams’ still resonates after 30 years

The film “Hoop Dreams” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 1994 and is remembered as one of the greatest sports films ever. In 2007, the International Documentary Association named it the best documentary of all time. Wake Forest Documentary Film Program professor Peter Gilbert discusses the film.
